### 1. About JCMeet and these Terms
JCMeet provides online tools for discovering Christian churches and events, connecting with other users, participating in community discussions and prayer, and organizing church and ministry activities. These Terms govern your use of JCMeet's website and the services and resources we provide.
When creating an account or completing account onboarding, you agree to these Terms through the agreement control provided. The Member Code of Conduct also applies to participation. Additional clearly presented conditions may apply to a specific church, ministry, event or role. They cannot override applicable law or permit conduct prohibited by JCMeet's rules.
JCMeet may be provided as a Beta service while features are developed and tested. A Beta label does not restrict who can visit unless an actual access restriction is displayed and enforced.
### 2. Christian identity and participation
JCMeet is an explicitly Christian community service centered on Jesus Christ. You do not need to identify as Christian to use the ordinary services available to you, but you agree to respect JCMeet's Christian purpose, its published community standards, and its leadership's administration of JCMeet services.
Within JCMeet, its leadership may make decisions about content, participation, church or ministry listings, access, account restrictions and removal in light of JCMeet's Statement of Faith, published Christian standards and community purpose. Subject to applicable law, we may restrict or remove content or accounts that conflict with those standards or undermine the safe and orderly operation of the community.
You agree to comply with such decisions while using JCMeet and not to evade restrictions through another account. You may raise a concern or request review through the available reporting or contact routes. These rules concern JCMeet services and resources; they do not give JCMeet authority over your life outside them or remove rights you have under applicable law.
Ordinary users are not required to affirm the administrator Statement of Faith. Churches, organizations and relevant administrative roles must satisfy the requirements presented for those listings or roles.
### 3. Accounts and eligibility
Provide accurate information where requested, use only an identity you are entitled to use, and keep your sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for your own use of the account and should contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
You must have legal capacity to accept these Terms, or any parent/guardian consent required by applicable law, and meet any additional eligibility rules actually displayed for the service or feature. Do not impersonate another person, misrepresent a role, or use another person's account.
### 4. Community profile and relationship visibility
Your chosen display name and profile picture identify you wherever your profile, posts or other ordinary participation is shown under the service's visibility rules. Your community profile preview in My Page shows the information other eligible signed-in JCMeet users can see.
By accepting these Terms, you agree that JCMeet may display your church/ministry follow relationships in their follower directories and your memberships and relevant role badges on community profiles and directories to other signed-in JCMeet users, subject to protected-group and account restrictions. Those relationship lists and membership/badge details are not made available to signed-out visitors.
If you choose to enter a home church on your profile, it is self-described information and is not proof of verified membership. Participation or following alone does not establish that a person holds any particular religious belief.
You can manage follows and available memberships through the relevant controls. Visibility does not include your private messages, personal calendar notes, account contact details, private preferences, Favorites, pending applications or moderation records. Information you independently include in a visible post or comment is visible to that content's audience.
We do not show a new visibility notice each time you follow or join. Please review your profile preview and the Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information and how to contact us about your data. Other users may retain information they have already seen; we cannot guarantee that every copy disappears when you later change it.
### 5. Conduct and use of the service
Follow the Member Code of Conduct and applicable law. Do not use JCMeet for harassment, threats, unlawful discrimination, exploitation, fraud, impersonation, spam, unauthorized commercial solicitation, intellectual-property infringement or disclosure of another person's private information without permission.
Do not attempt to bypass access controls, scrape or enumerate member directories for unrelated purposes, interfere with the service, access another person's private information, or misuse reporting and invitation features. Good-faith questions, feedback and reports may be made through the available routes.
### 6. Churches, ministries and roles
Churches, organizations and administrators are responsible for the accuracy of their listings and the activities they organize. Listing on JCMeet is not a guarantee of every statement, activity or individual's conduct.
Following, membership, serving/contributor status and administration are different relationships. Membership and serving may depend on conditions, approval or invitations. Accepting a ministry's conditions does not guarantee admission when approval is required. Roles and access may change when a relationship ends or JCMeet's rules require a restriction.
Church or ministry administrators may manage information within their authorized scope. Their role does not provide general access to users' private messages or unrelated private information.
### 7. Events and external websites
Check event details and organizer instructions before attending. Organizers may change, postpone or cancel events. Unless JCMeet is expressly identified as the organizer, the listed organizer is responsible for organizing the activity and its own terms, arrangements and charges.
Choose whether an event is suitable for you and take reasonable care of your own safety. Nothing in this section excludes responsibility that JCMeet or an organizer has under applicable law.
External websites operate under their own terms and privacy practices. We show a confirmation and destination for the church website links covered by that feature. A link does not mean JCMeet controls or guarantees the destination, and a destination may change or redirect after you leave.
### 8. Your content
You retain the rights you hold in content you submit. You must have the rights and permissions needed to share it, including appropriate permission for photographs or information about other people.
You grant JCMeet a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format and display your content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure and provide the service to its authorized audience. Service providers acting for us may process it for those purposes. This does not authorize sale of your content or unrelated advertising use.
You can use available editing/deletion controls, subject to feature-specific limits and lawful retention described in the Privacy Policy. Copies already received by others and necessary backups or lawful records may remain subject to those limits.
### 9. Prayer, messages and reports
Named posts and comments display the identity associated with them. The detached anonymous prayer option is designed not to retain an account-to-author link or account-based author control after publication. You should not include identifying text or images if you want to avoid identifying yourself. We do not promise absolute untraceability; independent content, technical records or other observations may still identify someone.
Direct messages are intended for their participants, and a participant may deliberately submit selected messages as report evidence through the reporting feature. Messaging is not described as end-to-end encrypted.
Prayer and community discussion are not emergency, medical, legal or other regulated professional services. Use appropriate local services when you need those forms of assistance.
### 10. Calendars and personal notes
You choose which eligible events and, where enabled, your personal calendar notes are included in a subscription. If you include notes or private event details, the calendar provider and anyone with access to the subscription URL or that calendar may receive those details.
Keep your subscription URL private and use available rotation or revocation controls when needed. External calendar providers decide refresh timing and notification behavior. We cannot promise immediate updates, removal of copies already downloaded, or delivery of every requested reminder.
### 11. Moderation and ending participation
We may remove or restrict content, listings, features or accounts for violations of these Terms or the Member Code, conflicts with the Christian standards described above, abuse, security concerns, legal requirements, or other legitimate reasons connected to operating JCMeet. We will exercise these powers subject to applicable law.
Where appropriate and practicable, we will provide a reason and a route to raise a concern. We may act promptly when needed to protect people, privacy, security or legal obligations. You may stop using JCMeet and request account closure through the available contact/account process. Any lawful retention and feature-specific deletion limits remain governed by the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
### 12. Availability and responsibility
Features may change or become temporarily unavailable. We aim to provide a useful service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect accuracy of third-party content, the suitability of every listing, or compatibility with every device or external service.
We remain responsible where applicable law makes us responsible. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or any other liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. We do not require you to waive every claim or accept our own determination as the final legal decision about liability.
For losses caused by ordinary negligence, any legally permitted limitation is limited to loss that is direct and ordinarily foreseeable; this limitation applies only to the extent it is valid under the law governing the claim. No limitation in this paragraph applies to intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or other non-excludable liability.
### 13. Changes to these Terms
We will make the current Terms and their effective date available. Material changes will be brought to your attention and, where appropriate or legally required, require renewed agreement before affected services or new data visibility apply. Ordinary sign-ins do not require repeatedly accepting an unchanged version.
Changes will be made in accordance with applicable law. Continued browsing alone will not be recorded as an express clickwrap acceptance.
### 14. Governing law and contact
These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of Japan, subject to any mandatory protections or jurisdiction rules that apply to you. Nothing here prevents you from using a court, regulator or remedy that applicable law makes available. If a provision is invalid, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
